Mystery Pipe

Does anyone know what this is and whether it should be connected to something ?

It is a flexi plastic pipe coming out near the battery.

Yes, it should be connected to the battery. You can see the location on your picture, on the left of the Varta sticker.

That is the vent pipe for the battery. If you look at your picture along the edge of the battery just to the left of the white sticker there is a small circle on the battery. That is where I think the vent pipe connects to on your battery but may have snapped off, unless the adapter has come out of the battery in which case you should just be able to push it back in.

I figured pipe & hole were somehow meant to be together but it didn’t seem to stretch that far so I didn’t force it. I will look again tomorrow.

On closer inspection, it appears to originate from the black box with BOSE on one end that runs across the back of the car.

Still can’t find a suitable hole that it can reach ?

As mentioned, the pipe should go between the battery and the outside so that the gasses given of from the battery are directed away from the interior of the car.
