Hi,

I've owned my A2 for a year now, and what a little cracker it's been! It's a 2001 1.4 TDi SE. As you all will know, there's bags of room - even 5 seats - and it runs on very little, even at it's advanced age. I've just returned from France, which was an 850 mile journey each way, with not even a hiccup.

I was very lucky to buy my A2 from a mechanic. I'm told that they are usually the worst with cars, but this chap was completely the opposite. He couldn't bear even a speck of dust; the car has a complete set of accessories/tools/first aid kit etc. and absolutely everything works or is in place. It came with a Parrot, lol, which is very useful, and Audi Symphony which does a nice job of drowning out my singing. It hasn't cost me a penny (other than servicing) until recently when I cracked the screen - the sorry tale and question is in the forums.

Anyway, I doubt I will be much technical use to anyone (alas, I can do only the basics), although my ex husband says that I know just enough about everything to be dangerous, so I might have a go. Otherwise, I look forward to reading your Audi tall stories :)

Nicola

Welcome to a2oc -- I think a high number of us can say we are addicts. This coming Saturday (11th oct) we have the last big show of the year -audi driver international. It takes place at castle combe race circuit --your most welcome to join us. We have a few women owners that attend -- we are a friendly bunch. Full details are in the socials section. Cheers Mike

That sounds like fun. My partner would love that. Also, Number One Son is going away for the weekend, so I can leave safe in the knowledge that the place won't be full of dancing girls when I return :)

Excellent that you both will be coming. Can i ask you to add yourself to the calendar links and you will need to paypal £2 donation to get your car pass. There is lots to see and a great time to see other A2's and owners. Pop a chair or two in the boot. cheers mike
