Hi,
I've owned my A2 for a year now, and what a little cracker it's been! It's a 2001 1.4 TDi SE. As you all will know, there's bags of room - even 5 seats - and it runs on very little, even at it's advanced age. I've just returned from France, which was an 850 mile journey each way, with not even a hiccup.
I was very lucky to buy my A2 from a mechanic. I'm told that they are usually the worst with cars, but this chap was completely the opposite. He couldn't bear even a speck of dust; the car has a complete set of accessories/tools/first aid kit etc. and absolutely everything works or is in place. It came with a Parrot, lol, which is very useful, and Audi Symphony which does a nice job of drowning out my singing. It hasn't cost me a penny (other than servicing) until recently when I cracked the screen - the sorry tale and question is in the forums.
Anyway, I doubt I will be much technical use to anyone (alas, I can do only the basics), although my ex husband says that I know just enough about everything to be dangerous, so I might have a go. Otherwise, I look forward to reading your Audi tall stories
Nicola
