New A2 loaded with factory options

Yes, sounds familiar, see two of them outside my window right now. Classic aluminium car colour in my eyes. ;)
Edit: I think LY7W is Lichtsilber?

The button above the fuel filler button...whats that do (mine has but I don't have a manual so can't RTFM.

Not mint, but not too bad. So far; pixels missing in DIS, rear speaker grilles broken, and battery is completely lose and the fixings are missing. And it seems like the previous battery exploded as there is remains of acid everywhere in the battery box. And according to previous owner, the webasto is disconnected because it emptied the battery if being standstill for a few weeks.

Different battery fixing if you have the spare wheel carrier.... Would have thought some of our breakers would have some of the parts you require grille colour may be an issue.

Yes you are right. First photo is from another TDI90, while the last from this car. The fixing is different as the TDI90 had bolts at bottom rear facing, while this car has some inserts for bolts on the top front facing(?)

Besides taking the cluster out of the car, whats the next steps? Are new DIS display available separately?

I sent it off to a Polish guy (of course hehe). If you are into soldering there is a lot of guides on youtube how to do it

As the car was fully loaded I suspect it had the spare wheel carrier fitted in lieu of the normal battery retaining. You should be able to fit either type as long as the captive nuts are fitted at the lower location.

You'll find at least the holes for the top inserts in the battery tray on all A2's, but the earlier cars (at least in the UK) had the inserts already in place in case the spare wheel option was fitted. But all of them had the bottom inserts fitted as both the normal battery retainer and the spare wheel bracket used them. This is really strange, it's as if the floor of the boot/battery tray is missing on this car.

This car does not seem to have the captive nuts at the lower position. Only top nuts as in photo.

The car has the original foam for puncture dated 2001.
