New A2 Sport owner

Thanks a lot, I will look for the restore button next time it happens. - Andy
Why not give it a whirl and start a reply to a thread.
Keep typing stuff until you get the “auto save” message. Then come out without saving.
Then click “reply” on the same thread and you should see the restore option at the bottom left of the text box.

I just did it with this reply and didn’t lose anything.

By the way it doesn’t matter if you use reply with quote or just reply. It still works.

AND it restores your pictures too!!!!

Hi, I have just purchased a project/MOT failure and I plan to get it back up and running for my son to drive - he is 16 and a half at present.
I am also planning to be doing the same search very soon for my 15 year old daughters future car. But she has expressed a desire for a dirty diesel. I will follow this thread with interest as I will be trying to do a lot of the work myself too.
Nice one, good choice, your son is a very lucky boy.
Regards,
Drew

So I finally managed to get the crappy Euro car parts exhaust to fit and we passed the MOT today with no advisories.
Had a scary moment when the MOT tester turned on the lights, one of the rears was not working, but he opened the boot to check for a spare wheel and when he slammed the boot lid the light came back on! Result!

Wash and polish today, looks great for a car fit for the scrap heap two months ago.

Edit, no sure why it's upside down, it isn't on my iPad !

Well done on breathing new life into another A2 !!!

As for your picture.
Your Ipad / iPhone seem to be able to do that.
To correct it just open the file in something like Microsoft Paint and save it the right way up (even if it shows the right way up in Paint)
Then when you upload it on here it should be fine.

Credit to you for bringing it back to life ..but even more credit to Audi for building it in aluminium in the first place .. planned obsolescence was left off the design agenda ..

Now we have a new site I can upload all those photos that I couldn’t before.
Firstly the A2 on axle stands whilst the wheels were being refurbished.

I took the opportunity to change the brakes and rear springs/shocks/bushes whilst it was on stands

Hard to believe this car came from a £400 eBay purchase. Well done mate. You've worked wonders on it. I especially like how clean it's looking inside the rear arches.
