New boots time, 195/50.15 or 195/55.15 ?

Hi,

I've kind of decided to go from a 175 section to 195 but I'm unsure whether to go for the 50 or 55 section.

The 50's are massively cheaper than the 55's but am worried whether the 50 might upset the cars balance, looks, ride etc?

Does anyone have any experience on what sort I should be looking for ?

Personally I would stick with the 55, the 50s are JUST a tad too small.
The speedo would read faster (just) than you are going and the speedos are already reading faster from the factory.

This is an indication that they will probably be to small, but if anyone has tried that, they should let you know how they look on the car.

+1 for the 55s too. I've had that size for a few years and whilst you notice a little more sidewall, it kinda suits the look especially with pepperpots. Have a look at my avatar / profile picture for a side shot. The ride is noticeably better too.

Edit: Actually just realised that picture is on the winter wheels, totally different size! D'oh!
