New iphone/ipod charge adapters

For all you with the new type iphones/ipods that don't charge via your normal connection i found this

Been looking for something like this as i was looking at get the Iphone 4 and so my Alpine head unit wont charge this as the new Iphones and Ipods are 5v and so you need a converter/adapter to charge these

The £20 Scosche passport sold on the apple store seem to have incompatibility issues with different USB plugs. I'm guessing it is the trickery on the data pin on the USB. Not sure if this one on ebay is better. Will be interested to know, but one thing for sure, Apple's newer iDevices are using more and more electricity and the iPad draws as much as 1A so some of the older USB plugs may not be supplying enough juice, especially for charging and using as SatNav at the same time.
