New owner of 'project misano'

Hi there, I'm sure many of you follow the projects forum, and in particular the many project cars of Mr Broons. Well, 'project misano' is now our car

Mrs 'Misano Man' and I have always quite fancied an A2, but they were out of our budget when they were first launched. Fast forward to today and they are very affordable and to my mind still a very fresh and clever design. Personally I think they would probably sell better today than they did when they were launched - possibly too advanced for their own good when they were launched? It's a far more interesting and cleverly packaged car than the A1 as far as I'm concerned.

Mr Broons has done a very good job of getting the car to a good spec but there a few wee teething issues that I'll need to get sorted due to it standing unused for a few months. First journey was driving it home it home tonight and I'm really impressed with the way it drives. It feels tight and right, nice peppy performance and crisp ride and handling. The new suspension, clutch and DMF that it's been treated to certainly paying dividends.

This looks like a friendly and knowledgeable place and I'm sure I'll be looking for your expertise over the coming weeks and months.

Good to hear another A2 will be on the road here. Remember to wave, I'm in Hamilton in a silver 05 TDI with Depronman remap(invisible) and roof bars(less invisible). :)

Welcome! The Scottish social contingent grows! I'm in East Glasgow. Mine is identified by the dirt more than the colour currently but it is silver under there too!

A quick question on forum etiquette - would it be deemed acceptable to continue a project thread started by another member on acquiring said project car?

If the original poster has no concerns, then I see no reason not to. Provides a degree of continuity.
