Welcome to the forum.

Sport / SE depends upon your personal taste the se has a few more luxury items than the sport, but the sport has bigger wheels sports suspension and more supportive seats.

What age are you after brand spanker or used.

im after used, im 25 and i want luxury but i also like the sports seats and suspension, mind i can change the supension maybe even fit new alloys and leather.

at present ive a s3 but im after smaller car with good boot space and space for 4

found one i like what do guys think, just it isnt a tdi

spec is

2001 Y Reg Audi A2 1.4 SE 5 Door Crystal Blue Metallic with Grey Interior Trim, 19,000 miles. 16" Alloy Wheels, 5 speed, ABS, Adjustable Seat Height, Adjustable Steering Column, Air-Conditioning, Body Coloured Bumpers, Body Coloured Door Mirrors, Centre Rear Seat Belt, climate control, Driver Air Bag, Electric Heated Door Mirrors, Electric Windows, Front Fog Lights, Heated Rear Screen, High Level Brake Light, Immobilizer, Leather Gearknob, Leather Steering Wheel, Locking Wheel Nuts, On Board Computer, Passenger Air Bag, Power-Assisted Steering, Rear Head Restraints, Rear Seat Belts, rear spoiler, Remote Central Locking, Rev Counter, Side Air Bags, Split Rear Seat, Tinted Glass, Traction Control System. Mmmmmm, Bose and sky roof would have stung the initial purchase price. When does the 3 year warranty run out?

And Hi and welcome to the forum!

Steve - 2002 1.4SE petrol, Silver, black/black interior, Then an identical replacement 2003 A2. Now a Toyota Corolla 1.6 T-Spirit

not sure, on the warranty.

the spec sounds good, from what ive read u guys think the a2 should be quite cheap but from looking on the trader there not so cheap any pointers

Hi, I would just like to comment on the advert you posted.
What a ridiculous list. 90% of it is standard. Let me slice it down to REAL options on that car:

A2 1.4, with the following extras:
- SE Spec
- Open Sky roof,
- Bose Audio
- wheel nuts with locks.

Not sure about the 'onboard computer'. Could be the regular display, could be 'DIS', the Driver Information System which is more like it. But still just a 'trip computer'.

Who would list a 'rev counter' as something that is special for a car?!

So don't get excited over long lists. And SE specced car has many, many things as standard.

Good luck!

Edo

(2003 Silver 1.4 Tdi Exclusive(SE), black interior, sport seats, heated mirrors, JVC KD-SH909RB cd-receiver, Infinity Kappa 63.1 + Vifa on-dash tweeters, 12" Subwoofer on 300w Amp) and on its merry way to Germany, ABT, to be chiptuned, finally!

im not dont worry im more after the climate and i take it they do mean true digital climate and not just a think that just blows hot or cold air

They even managed to split those two, air conditioning and climate control. The latter can't exist without the first. And SE comes with climate control. Duh. ;)

On a different note: are you sure you want to switch from diesel to petrol? You must have had your (economical) reasons for choosing diesel in the first place. But apart from that, be aware that the diesel is quite different to drive than the petrol. Especially the 'ooomphf' when taking over and the ease of generating it is quite appreciable.
Did you have a chance to drive any of them?

not yet, ill be doing so shortly, im trying to find out as much info as possible.

i do really want a diesel and i will chip it as well as im a great fan of that.

as ive done that on my s3 so now ive 265bhp which i know will be a big difference going to a A2 TD
