New valve cover gasket massive leak

Hey guys, so I rebuilt my 1.4PD AMF engine. It had a massive cylinder head gasket problem, and oil pump problem (and many more). I put a different cylinder head on the engine block but the vavle cover stayed the same (a shop rebuilt my New cylinder head). The New cylinder head comes from a VW polo if its a info.

So I know I installed the Valve cover gasket correctly, but there is a massive oil leak at the back of the engine. My question is. Is there more type of gaskets? Maybe should I order a gasket with a different part number? Does anybody has some advice for ne?
Thanks.

Yes there are two A2 TDi cam covers each with a different gasket. The gasket has to match the the cover.
There is also a torquing down sequence and sealant to apply. Get either of these wrong and it leaks.
Edit, to the best of my knowledge earlier gaskets are NLA.

Anecdotally re-used rocker covers warp very easily and don't reseal - especially if the gasket is the wrong model. Conversely I've been told that the rocker covers *can* be re-used with extreme care on the torquing sequence whilst both removing *and* replacing (in the numerical order bolt by bolt for both processes as shown in the diagram) as stated above.

Any chance it could be the tandem pump seal rather than the cam cover, or can you see the leak is definitely the cam cover?

I might have to do this job on one of my TDI90's soon , so interested if you know the 2 part numbers. Just had a quick look online and this is what i see as possible part numbers for cam cover seal

@nod sorry I don’t know the early part number. I bought my car new and when I had an injector harness failure I thought it sensible to replace the gasket. When I came to fit the gasket it didn't fit correctly in the original cover. It leaked badly and the original gasket had gone in the bin.
I had to buy a new cover, the original went in the bin so I can’t get the number.

I have experience this, a garage refit my cam cover so badly and didnt use the sequence or the sealant and oil was flowing out the back, espicially the back right egr area. I had to buy a new cam cover and print off the instructions for them. That was an audi specialst, dont assume they know what there doing. I refitted the cam cover properly with hymol blue sealant and it was then fine. Needs care!

Very important to deal with this quickly. The hot oil will run around the side of the block and down over the coolant manifold. If left the oil will get into the sealing face and degrade the seal causing a water leak.
