Good afternoon all,

Ive been lurking in the back ground for a few week now and as i picked up the car this moring though i would introduce my self.

so.... Hi im Dan

So ive gone from my Porsche Boxter S 3.2L to a 45 plate A2 TDI.

It very clean with a few extras (i think) i hadnt done too much reasearch on the A2's but new when i say the car this was the car for me. Its dark blue, 84,000 mile on the clock, Air con, CD player and the great panaramic sun roof. it has some horribe (bad condition) alloys on it but they will be change in due time.

The reason for the change was the Boxter was far too jucie for me at 27.5 mpg on a daily 30 mile round trip to work and back hence the move over.

I would chuck in some photo's but havent had a chance to take any yet.

Thanks
Dan

Welcome from another relative Newbie. I only joined in Feb this year.

You will get several more welcomes I am sure. This is a very friendly, informative and helpful Forum.

I have managed to 'shake down' many small niggles with my car, with which I am extremely happy.

I plan on meeting up with some of the veteran members (not age but longevity on the Forum) at the August 'Audis in the Park' meeting at Billing Aquadrome.

Enjoy the car and the Forum

Geoff

welcome along, great forum as I'm sure you have already found out. 3.2litre to a 1.4tdi wow, wave goodbye to petrol forecourts, I used to be a weekly regular with a 1.8 litre bmw since the switch to the a2 filling the tank once a month.

Hi Dan,

You have made TWO excellent choices,
buying an A2 (yes you will miss the performance of the Porsche, but there are plenty of positives about an A2)
and joining THE best forum on the net!! Lots of friendly people who actually LIKE helping and are very knowledgeable!!

Can't wait to hear more from you, please post any questions there are a few things on an A2 that take a while to spot!!!

Welcome to the forums Dan

So you have joined the A2 clan eh!
Lots of knowledgeable folk here to help in times of trouble, also the new project section has some excellent articles from members who are in the process of building and restoring A2's, you must give that section a read

Thanks guys here's a lil pick I've managed to get.

Thanks for the warm welcome uploadfromtaptalk1401651821727.jpg

Nice one. I've seen your car on AT and thought the Mugellos really suit the car. Got me thinking about my wheels.

Chris

Thanks I'll take some more tomorrow when I get some time. I'm pretty sure it's been lowered as well. As the Ride is pretty stiff and the rear red springs kinda give it away.
