Newbie looking to buy

Hello peeps, am Craig from Wirral & am looking to buy an A2 within the next few weeks
My budget will be around 2k. I would prefer the 1.4 diesel only because of the £30 a year road tax but would consider the 1.6 fsi petrol if the right car came along
So if you know of any nice cars around please post a link

Hi Craig,

Welcome, A2Steve will be along shortly to officially welcome you and give you some tips, but check out the "How to" section and click on the "Index" subsection, there are some buying guides on there!!

That budget should get you a pretty reasonable A2 Ebay and Auto Trader are good resources as well as Gumtree.

If they are not local to you often there will be a member locally that can have a quick look at any prospective purchase to save you a wasted journey.

My A2 is still for sale. Click on threads started by me and you can see all about my black project car. The Black A2 might be sold this weekend, but the buyer has not confirmed with me that he is coming up from Birmingham, so if you are quick to see then you could have an FSI that has had £2500 spent on it over the last 3 years for the princely sum of £1200!!!

It is a 2004 yellow storm with nice wheels and at a very good price.

In Lichfield !!!

Check it out thoroughly though it seems a bit too cheap for a rare model and colour of that age.

Yes, very interesting. Lots done and could be a well sorted car.

It may even be a member on here with that work done and the knowledge demonstrated.

To me it is well worth a look.

The MOT history looks ok and matches the sellers info !!!!!
