Hey everyone, just wanted to say 'Hi'.

I've recently just bought myself a 2004 1.4 SE Audi A2 which I'm really chuffed to bits with :)

My previous car history was mainly that of Fords with the last motor being a Mondeo. But these days I don't need the big family car so I decided on something
smaller. Initially the A2 never crossed my mind but because I was on a small budget these little A2s flagged up in my search. My A2 has 117k on the clock but
came with an excellent service history and the garage that I bought it from included in the price a cambelt change and a full years MOT. For the age I was impressed
and has been really well looked after. The very minor thing is that the bonnet could do with a respray but that's just down to my OCD. Most would be fine with it. Also
the top of the front wings could do with some paint work as someone previous had trouble putting the bonnet back on. Other than that, I love it.

Welcome to the club, you should find it a friendly helpful place to be. I stumbled across the A2 in a similar way and now 7 A2's later I'm totally addicted.

A very warm welcome to a friendly club Chris - it looks like you have found yourself a good example of an Akoya silver SE there. We are all here to help with any advice and there is plenty to read up on in the forum section. Please also consider attending the social events which are planned for this year.

Cheers everyone, these forums can be an invaluable source of information.

Yeah I'm totally won over by my A2. I initially didn't realise the engineering that Audi had put into the A2. I found this one in York and loved it from the test drive. Then I did my research. I know perhaps
not the correct way of doing things but I could not miss the opportunity on such a great little car. The interior too is in immaculate condition so it has been cherished by the previous owner(s).

Welcome to the forum. It's full of a great bunch (gaggle/horde/rabble) of folk and with some very knowledgable A2 owners that are always happy to help.
There are quite a few of us in the Yorkshire area too if you ever get stuck!

Welcome aboard Chris.

A lovely colour Akoya and a cracking example you have found yourself by the look/sound of it. Hope to see you at a social; happy motoring.

Darren

Hi Chris and welcome
Lots going on here and lots of info
Now you own an A2 you will not be able to stay away for long!

Welcome chris, impulse buy just like me. Had my A2 around 15 month's now and like you came across mine just looking for a car.
Now am hooked, this club is great and have had a member, look at my car and sorted a few minor fixes out. Your in the right place the members bend over backwards to help enjoy

Seems to be a few of us that have taken the plunge over the last few days! Yours sounds like a somewhat better example than mine though ☺️
