Newquay

Went on my Hols last week to Perranporth and only managed to spot one A2 in nearby Newquay. A blue TDI turning round after the train station and going into a car park.

Must say that Cornwall is full of VW transporters, and some of them look the dogs. I can see the attraction of them as well.. Could possibly park an A2 in the back of one of them. LOL.

Kev raises a good point. I see many VW Transporters on my daily commute and I think they look good! If I was going to give up on life and resort to having to buy a people carrier(!) :p, I'd seriously give a Transporter a chance.

I have no need to buy one at the moment but, with our forays into continental Europe increasing, it could be useful.

Anyone on the forum own one and able to give a personal review?

Cornwall does seem to be the hive of the VW transporter.. The classic ones are a very familiar view on the road, enjoying zero road tax even if some of them have a V6 under the belly.

I see the A2 being a future classic having a similar following..

Maybe we should do an A2 day in Newquay, just to show off !

I can add that a VW Transporter 5th gear cog fits very nicely in an A2 gear box! A2 the little brother?
