next service after 15000 km after long life service ??

Hello all!

After a long life service at 38 500 km last week, my A2 "computer" now shows the next service within 15 000 km (instead of the expected 30 000 km).
I don't really get the point;

- should the correct mileage (30 000) automatically show up after a while (+/- 1000 km)
- or should I go to the garage after 15 000 km for a quick inspection and then the correct mileage would appear ?
- did the guy at the garage miss something?

I posted also on some other forums but got some confusing and different answers. Thanks for your help.

Just after sevicing the car will show the default mileage to the next service. But as you do a few more 1000 miles this value will adjust, depending upon the type of journeys you are doing. So if you do long journeys I am sure the distance to the next service should adjust itself upwards, to maybe as high as 30000miles or 50000km.

Yes I agree with that Will my next service was showing to be 9800 miles just after the service. It now shows 18500 miles. this mileage went up steadily each week as I drove the car. its now stopped going up and starting to reduce slowly
