No buzzer when lights left on

My Daughter left her lights on today and drained the battery, when I tried it the buzzer did not sound, the dis indicates when the door is open and the fuel flap works correctly, any ideas

Could be the buzzer has died. I think it is part of the instrument cluster so not easy to get and and not even sure if it is replaceable. Forget about the buzzer and fit auto headlight switch instead!

Various threads on here to retro fit auto headlight switch with alternate ways of using the existing fascia plate. I have done mine cutting away the old warning symbols and finished it off with a chrome ring

Try testing function of buzzer by leaving indicator on, turn off ignition and open door.

Strikes me this is the kind of function that can be turned on or off with VCDS but not knowledgeable enough to say definitively. I would try disconnecting the battery for half an hour which will force a CCCU reset on battery reinstatement.
