No charging of battery by new alternator - link / whatever diagnosed by garage. Anyone know how to establish breakage of 'link" location ?

He said did not look at emails but I potted everything said on here, most of all the earth as it turned out to be, suggesting taking light out. I think it helped a lot !!!
He had already checked cable between Starter motor and the alternator previously last Wed.
...So dont have to scrap car !

He didnt read any he said, but I told him briefly in summarised form all the suggested possibilities... He had checked the alt / starter cable when broken down @ Pump. Thanks again for your help - much appreciated:) Martin

I now know, (?), that the starter has a separate earth to the engine.

Yes it’s in a whole different ball park.
G1, G4 & G6 are what you need £30.00 ish , G5 if you want to coat the headlights (plastic) as well.
One of the best safety related upgrades you will do in my view.
Kids will love it !
Don’t do the lower rear screen or wing mirrors as it needs air flow over the surface to function.
