Completed.

Hope the weather keeps up.
We are due some thunderstorms early in the week, but then early 20s and partly cloudy at the weekend at the moment.
Hopefully the rain will freshen things up a bit as when Gary and I went out to do dummy run of the drives yesterday it was like driving around a savannah!

Had a few questions about eating on Saturday night.
The plan is that as we are in Cromer, we will go for a chippy tea.
My favourite is Mary Jane's and they cook in vegetable oil and have good veggie options too.
I also find that the walk down to the pier from Mary Jane's mean your chips are the perfect temperature to eat by the time you get there (there are little booths on the pier to sit and eat).
In case of bad weather, they do have and inside restaurant

Well, that is a sorry state of affairs. Friday and Saturday Premier Inn booking is now cancelled. 😞

I sincerely hope that you all have a wonderful time and the weather is glorious if not a touch cooler than of late. I do hope that you arrange another Norwich social T @Teresa in the future.

Safe journeys one and all.

On the reverse side, it is looking less and less likely that we will be able to join you as things stand. As some of you know I work in safety for the railway, specifically level crossings. I am managing contingency arrangements during industrial action and as day two of wave three affects rail operations on Saturday and Sunday of next week, I will need to work. I'm hoping it gets called off but I fear this is unlikely as talks seem to be at an impasse.

Hi folks, just to confirm a few details:

I've booked a table tomorrow (Friday) night at 7pm for those joining us for the meal. It is at the Brewers Fayre Holt Rd, Airport, Norwich NR6 6JA

On Saturday morning, the plan is to meet at the Premier Inn/Brewers Fayre and head off to Blickling Hall around 9.30, taking the scenic route (which i am hoping to type up, but work has gone a bit bonkers this week)

There aren't enough of us to have a group entry to the Hall, and park on the drive, but there is a very useful layby in front of the Hall which would be a good spot for a park up and picture of the cars with the hall behind us.

After leaving Blickling, we will have another scenic drive to Cromer, parking up at the Clifftop car park (pay and display, loos available). We can have some free time in Cromer, with fish and chips from Mary Janes for tea. The afternoon/evening may be a little flexible depending on the weather. There has been a suggestion of moving along to Sheringham, ad we could also go further around the coast to Cart Gap - we can decide on the day.

On Sunday Morning, we will meet in the Monastery Car Park in Norwich Elm Hill, Norwich NR3 1HN about 9.30 and have a little walking tour around the old part of Norwich.

Following that, we will have a little drive up to Mousehold heath for some great views over the city, before lunch that i need to do a little work on as the original place Yellows, has decided that they are no longer opening on Sundays

Look forward to seeing you all - safe journeys

Just looking at that on Street View. It should fit all of us who are there for the Saturday, front-on to the road. I'll bring at least one of the Club floor banners in case we get the chance to include it in the photos.

As usual with socials, I'm also bringing the Shop. Although many people who are coming have already stocked up at Kimbolton and Stanford Hall, you never know :) Items are at their normal Shop prices, but obviously without the postage on top, which makes for a very good saving on number plate surrounds particularly - due to space considerations, a limited supply of these is available. I can take PayPal, or cash as as long as you have the correct change.

Safe journeys everyone, and looking forward to seeing you all :) I'm aiming to make the start of the convoy from the hotel on Saturday, but if not I'll catch up with you at Blickling Hall.

Thanks Ian. Yes, it is a nice big lay-by. Gary and I stopped there to take pictures of the house when I was lit up at Christmas.

Also, I realised that I put the wrong time for the end of the pier show. It is 4pm not 6pm. There are 5 of us going and I was able to get discounted rate of £24 even though we didn't get the full group rate. There are more seats in the area we are sitting so if anyone else wants to come just let me know and I'll book (there was one person who said they would prefer to have a scenic drive before it gets dark and as it finishes by 6, there will be plenty of time for chips after and a nice drive)

Hi folks. New place for Sunday lunch at 12.30 on Sunday. My favourite pub and great food with everything from Sunday roast to ciabattas. Car Park is a little small, but there is on road unrestricted parking too

Nice to catch up with people yesterday evening
Some pics I took as you all left this morning

Thank you Teresa, for organising this wonderful weekend. It has been well worth the journey south.

Has been great to meet friends old and new and an internatiinal visitor from down under - Ron.

A lovely part of the country I probably would not have visited had it not been for A2OC.

Safe journey home to those travelling today.

George

Thank you to everybody who I met Friday evening and yesterday at my first A2 meet for making me feel so welcome, It was an absolute pleasure to meet new friends with a common interest.
Special thanks to Teresa and Gary for arranging it, I really enjoyed it and will be looking at what events I can attend in the future.
It was a pity that I couldn't attend today but off on holiday in a bit and I apologise If I delay anyone on the A17 later ;)

Wishing you all a safe trip home, hope to see you soon.

Andy

Not long got home. Lynette and I had a fantastic weekend, thank you @Teresa and @Gary Woolston for organizing it all and showing us some of your county and lovely home city. Most enjoyable to spend time again with friends already made through A2OC, and to meet Andy @Sidewinder and Ron from Australia - hope to see you both again at future socials. I'll post some of my pics when I can connect the camera to my PC at home, but they almost certainly won't be as good as Tony & Tam's ones above!

Our photos 😍
