Not Quite the Lakes Weekend Social - 2 - 4 June

What a beautiful weekend that was. Home after a 600 mile round trip. Reflecting on lots of smiles, the beautiful weather and a fantastically well organised social event. Huge thanks to Mandy and Martin for putting this together and keeping us all on point. I know it's not easy. . And Teresa deserves all credit too for running the socials within the club. A huge success and a joint venture with the Facebook based Owners Group which is fantastic. Big warm fuzzy feeling hearing people talk so positively about the A2OC community. 'The best in the World' was one comment. Aye we will take that

Sounds like a great weekend - we had our own incidental A2 meet at a mountain race in Grasmere at the same time. We had only x3 A2s - our packed blue FSI, daughter with three runners and much kit in her grey diesel A2…and then a student friend (also member here) who is working at the youth hostel came over as a supporter. I gather the two events overlapped as some of the A2 group were staying at his hostel and were spotted checking over his slightly battered but much loved silver 1.4 petrol!
Brill weather but tough running in the heat!
I hope everyone has climate control working ok!!

Thanks to everyone involved in organising a really enjoyable event. It was great to meet you all on the Saturday tour of the Lakes. Sunday looks to have been just as good. Will post some photos later.

I would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone that attended this social. This club never ceases to amaze me. with the fabulous interaction with everyone of all ages and walks of life.
A special thanks must go to @Teresa for all her hard work to help make this event happen, also to @timmus for his guidance and a biggest thanks has to go to my amazing husband, Martin, for all his support during the organising of this event.
There is so much I could say but I might ramble on too much.
Look forward to seeing everyone at future socials.
