Went to look at a car today with a view to buy a few parts....what a shame!

That genuinely looks like it's been stood for a good long time and is probably holding water in the boot, hence the mould.

this happens really quickly. i've seen the mould development in mine in 6 weeks when stored inside in the garage without the windows open.. it wipes off but it's still disorienting. Not happened again, as I've just opened the windows every time it goes in now.

Yes that and I have a dehumidifier in there...bone dry.

I've got my Storm in my garage that hasn't been moved for a couple of months now, all the windows are closed. I did open it up to check something a couple of weeks ago and nothing growing in there that I could see. I'll check again this week as the last thing I want happening to it is that!

If it’s going to be sat a while, I’d run the A/C and with a reasonably high temperature for 15+ minutes which will also have a bit of a dehumidifying effect.

yes, we have a bit of a different climate than you, but still, the air movement is important. I've just seen the interior of the wood shed for the first time in months in daylight and it's terrible - discoloration everywhere on the roof and the start of mould. There is a vent or two, but obviously not enough air movement. Time to fit a fan....outside, the cold kills off the mould before it starts, but inside the warmth, lack of air movement and moistness really gets it going. My garage is around 10-15C most of the time.
