Offset check.

Hi, I have bought and referbed wheels in the UK that come from ‘an A2 SE’. I now have them in Sweden and see the offset is larger than ‘normal’ offsets (I know I should have checked this before).
The wheels are 7J 16H ET 44.5. The model number is 8L0601025Q. I am looking to put 205/45-16 or 195/45-16 tyres on them. After some measuring and calculating they should fit but I want to check if anyone else has used the same wheels? The car I have is a 2000 1.4 petrol.

I think these will sit too far into the arches. I had 7.5s on ET35 and saw some argument marks, these are half an inch (12mm) narrower but pushed in another 9.5mm.... it is tight. They'll look wierd; 10mm spacers would help.

those wheels, btw, are from an A3. They were standard in Germany on the Ambition trim level, I believe - the wife had a 1999 and it had something very similar to this but in the original silver.

Those alloys are from the A3. I did consider them a while ago but I remember reading someone here tried them and they did rub. And they are really heavy...
