Oil top up

Hi all
bought 1 litre of oil of ebay £7.50 castrol SLX 0w-30 fully synthetic,the numbers on the back of oil say vw 502.00 505.00 (1/97),the oil that came with the car say vw 503.00 506.00 506.01. Does anybody know what the differance is,can i use this in my a2 tdi ???

A2 tdi colour storm misano red, open sky, rear parking sensors, bench seat,
17" alloys,fogs, 6 cd in boot.

You can use it, but only with fixed service interval.
VSI or variable service interval requires 506.00 or 506.01 grade oil
 
Thanks for that,it is on the variable service, but not been serviced yet,due in july only done 9,500 mls
