Open Sky still not working

I went to get my sun roof fixed on Monday and they tried unsucessfully to fit a new motor thingy about the rear view mirror.

The mechanic said it was a new genuine Audi part but anyway the cog thing with teeth wouldnt work properly and he was to send this back and order another!!!!!!!!

Looking at the original and the new one side by side there were some differences but the mechanic said they only make a universal one now that does all Audis rather than a specific one for the A2.

Is that right?

Has anyone else has this sort of problem?

So got to wait another week or so for the second motor thing to arrive. So will change my user name to Gill Closed Sky Smith at this rate.

Ps it was nice to meet some of you fellow owners on Saturday and what a fantastic day.
 
Glad you enjoyed the adi show shame you missed the parade lap as it was excelent to see so many a2's going arround---trueblue has put some excelent pictures of the parade laps on this site. I have uploaded some on here but mainly on my facebook account (link in the socials section)see if you can spot your car?
Lets hope the next motor is the correct one fingers crossed it sorts it out.

Thanks, the part still hasnt arrived!!!!!!!

I would like to come to the Bigglewade event but just need to check with a friend to see if she will come with me. Dont fancy the long journey from Torquay without a bit of company and I expect all of you lot are paired up, so dont want to be billy no mates.

I shall check out those photos and yes I was very peevved that I had to miss the lap. Maybe next year.
