hi all I'm wanting to buy the following for the VAG Parts Shop,
A2 front stowage tray and A2 rear center cup holders and 12v poweer socket and a pair of Quattro badges.

Can anyone tell me are these things an easy fit and how would I fit the 12v socket as I would like this to be under the dash on the right side so that i can power my tom tom one and mount the unit in the right front little window without having a lead trailing all over the place-any ideas please.

Also is the supsension on mine quattro or what??, I would like a pair of badges to put on him but they would have to be relavant to my A2- Ideas please.
Many thanks Andy.

Quattro in Audi badging terms always relates to the drive system and so the A2 shouldn't really be seen with a Quattro badge on it.

As for the front and rear trays, the rear is the easiest to fit, needing just the removal of the rear seats to complete it (oh, and a 12-point spline bit). If you want to do the front tray properly, you'll need to cut slots in the transmission tunnel, for the clips, although many people just remove them from the tray and use sticky fixers.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks mate but what is a 12 point spline thingy and where can i get one please.
Also are there any little badges that would look good on the A2?.

If you know what a Torq bit looks like, then imagine one with double the number of points.

As always, try HellFrauds, or look online at tool retailers.

Cheers,

Mike

Andy,

Check out the fitting guides for both the front stowage tray and rear cup holders on the forum.

These have both been produced by Shezlee and are comprehensive enough for even a dimwit like me to fit easily. :)

Cheers,

Darren

He he he thanks darren , we are in common then!!:D .
I will check the guides out though have to source the tool if I can.
Thanks all.

If you cant get the spline bit in hellfrauds try motor-world or partco. Keep an eye on ebay there usaully on there.

Thanks buds, is the 12 point spline thingy a certain size or is it just and only what it says pls.

Spline bits come in various sizes, just like torq bits and sockets.

From memory, it's either an M8 or M10 you'll need.

They usually come in sets and are worth getting to add to your toolkit.

Cheers,

Mike
