Other Special cars

Hi. I was at an aviation museum yesterday and hidden away the had a Triumph Acclaim that someone had donated to them in his will on the basis that they kept it in the hangar with the Lancaster.

I've had two Acclaims over the years and they are fantastic cars. They look really sedate but with the twin carb, they have amazing acceleration. It made me wonder whether anyone else had a soft spot for any other cars. Or indeed, any that they don't miss at all (mine is a Morris Ital - my dads car, but I learnt to drive in it. Hideous thing)

I've always had a hankering for a Morris Minor convertible.

I have no idea why as I've never sat in one let alone driven one! There is just something about it that excites places other cars can't reach

Hmmmmmm ;)

Citroen BX I had 2 of them a TZD Turbo which was very economical and still quick for its time 0-60 in 10 seconds and also the 16 valve just as quick as a standard RS turbo but zero torque steer the most comfortable cars I have ever owned.

Having a dad who worked for Vauxhall Motors for over 25 years, I had somewhat of an affinity with the marque as my car history will testify. I always dreamt of owning a MKII Astra GTE 16v, but regrettably never got to do so. I would dearly love to source a mint restored example; though there probably aren't many left in truth.

From the prestige marque, it is an e-type Jag all day long.
