Chat Our favourite (not) Cambridgeshire breaker made me smile

I am not going to link to the advert or mention the dealer (many of you already know who I am talking about and I don't want to give him any publicity, even BAD publicity) but he actually made me smile with a recent advert.

I spotted an advert for an OSS and the price was £141.14 (odd price that!) and I thought "That seems a good buy"
Then I spotted who the seller was and I was amazed!!! Has he finally let the Christmas spirit get to him? Has he made a New Year's resolution to be remotely fair?

But then after reading the advert details I realised that nothing has changed.

The price was for one glass panel (and his usual statement "and Nothing else", not even delivery costs!!!)

You even get to choose your own panel Front, Middle or rear.

That is £420ish for just the three panels, no motor, no frame nothing!!

So all is well and the world has not changed overnight.

Another advert below this one is where he is selling a secondhand "plastic side skirt" for £88 (and they are less than £50 brand new from Audi!!!!)

All is right with the world, nothing has changed !

I have often wondered that and if you have ever had the "pleasure" of contacting them to ask a serious question about a part they advertised you will know that there "customer service" is worse than their prices.

They advertised an instrument cluster with DIS and the one in the picture (supposed to be a picture of the actual item) clearly didn't have DIS. I made the mistake of asking if it was the right photo. You cannot imagine the verbal abuse I received from him for questioning his "knowledge".

I cannot believe he sells anything at these prices but he surely must be or he would stop?

I did exactly that over those very OSS panels! (That was quite a while ago) I let the A2OC see the response I received by posting a thread. BOY, was he rude and hostile! AND it showed his ignorance, too! You just don't need people like this on Ebay, or anywhere, for that matter!

Perhaps he sees himself as an international business and is using Dollars or Euros as a base currency?

But I have long since given up on using logic with him.
