Outer CV joint boots keep bursting

Good day fine folks!

On my second set of "new" boots on the outer CV joints and one has started blowing out already after 4 hours driving! There is nothing chafing down there and I have followed correct procedure during installation... Any tips to help me not to go broke swapping these joints every year?

Appreciate it!

have you tried J&R? they are on Ebay and here at least have been recommended a few times - I got a full driveshaft and CV joint from them inclusive of boot and they've been good so far.

Bailcast or mecatech (if you can find one) are not only stretchy boots but very durable

Which are you currently having issues with?

Did you fit them? You can get boots that are stretched over the cv joint to safe dismantling, I can see that they might not be very durable potentially.

Personally, given what a horrible, horrible job it is, I'd go genuine and then forget about them.

hi are you using those nasty rubber joints that fit/wrap around driveshaft together and apply adhesive to the joint?
