Are you able to get him to detail (sorry!) stepwise what has been done to get that effect? Ie - I would imagine wash, wash again, clay bar (?), and then perhaps compounding and subsequent buffing up with wax of some description (I am just throwing words in there without really knowing what they all mean!) - it would be useful to know what the process entails.

My shoulders are aching at the moment doing this job on my black A2. Process:
Wash
Rinse
Clay-bar
Dry
Cut pass 1
Wipe off
Cut pass 2 if required
Wipe off
Polish
Panel wipe
Wax.

Edit: I watched this, thought I can do that and went out and bought the kit.

I guess you're right Simon. Totally worth him using his skill and experience than me learning as I go along.
He also did my tdi a few weeks ago.

I personally do the rinse - wash - pressure wash rinse - clay - rubber and plastic treatment - wash + rinse - correct if necessary with minimum coarseness, polish back with final gloss - Autoglym EGP - polish off - collinite - polish. 2nd coat after a few days.
A2 paint is super - hard IME. Makes it hard to scratch. Haven't corrected it much at all, I wax before winter and haven't really needed to. The Suzuki paint is really soft. I've used some Menzerna (medium cut and then high gloss) on that on a soft foam pad to great effect with lots of water as a lubricant. Same with the Fiesta and the Swift. But YMMV and it's hard to get right without swirls afterwards... I took a sizeable patch of paint off the 307's bumper once because I pressed too hard.
