Paintwork Protection

Due to a 'new' project the A2 is going to be living outside for the rest of its life or forseable future! As I have no intention of getting rid as it will still be the daily commuter my thoughts are turning to how I can preserve the paint and overall condition.

I know regular waxing is an option but I am interested in anyones views on these paintguard protectionn systems/coatings - if anyone has any experience/advice it will be greatly appreciated.

I once got my bmw m5 supaguarded and it was really quite good, it kept the car shiny after washing and there was not real need for waxing it, It was a newish car but when i sold it five or so years later the paint still looked brand new. I would recommend!!!

So you got it then? Congrats, but it's a little mean of you to kick the A2 out onto the street!

If you use something like Collinite wax, then there's no need to do the clean/polish/wax any more than twice a year, once in around April and then around now. It really will last a good 6 months and as long as you're pretty good at keeping off bird lime, then you'll be fine, especially where you are, as it's pretty sheltered.

Cheers,

Mike

Oh, this was before the credit crunch when one could afford to run a V10, those were the days!!
