Parking on kerbs

I am a regular visitor to my friends house and the only way to park is half the car on the path and the other half on the road causing more weight/pressure on the driver side of the car.

Now I have been reading alot on Anti Roll Bar issues and I have been having issues with knocking noises coming from my car and had a drop link replaced.

Now I have been advised that the driver side of the car is knocking not because of the droplink but the anti roll bar is worn at that side.

Could it be the pressure on this side of the car due to parking caused this??

I suggest that it would only be a risk factor if the car was driven up kerbstones aggressively and repeatedly.

To me it just sounds like to common ARB fail, 3 options replace bushes with VW bushes or go the hole hogg and replace the bar with new bushes (as i did), or you could just knock the sleave back into the bush (if the bush has not wornout) and put jubilee clips on to stop the sleave from coming loose

It could well be the drop links. You can take the wheel off and then give it a tuck and see if there/where is any movement. The static load on the ARB itself shouldn't be a problem, but the joints at drop link will probably be taking constant static pressure where normally it wouldn't. The drop links are ~£26 each from your local VAG parts supplier.
