Pedals vibration when acceleratng

Hi guys,

I have a standard A2 petrol 1.4, but I don't think this has any relevance to my question; it is more of a standard technical issue that could occur in any type of car I guess.

I feel vibration on the pedals when accelerating forward and it feels strongest when I start from a stand still. The funny thing is that this does not happen when I accelerate backwards.

From what I understand, it is most probably the so-called tampons of the engine which should absorb the vibrations. Seems like the vibration occurs strongest when I start from s stand still because this is when the engine swings backwards, towards the coupe, the strongest. The vibration could be felt as well when accelerating while driving but is much weaker because the whole car is already in motion. (That's my own interpretation.)

It seems that this vibration does not occur in reverse because the tampons on the front part of the engine are less amortised and absorb the vibration to the fullest.

Have any of you guys dealt with something like that and would you happen to know what would be the expected costs of replacing these tampons (and how many does the A2 have?).

Many thanks in advance,
Nasko

P.S.
I searched the forums for a while, but I could not find a related thread on this. Sorry if I am double-posting.

Yes, that seems to be the same thing. Anyone replaced those on their A2 before and could the vibrations be caused by these mounts?
