PO192 fault on FSI

Hi all

just dropped my car off at the garage with engine light on.
Code is PO192
I’ve looked on line and it seems to be a solenoid on the fuel rail.
My question is: has anyone experienced this before? Are there related issues?
I was fearing the high pressure pump! But a member here previously told me if it was that it would of just died.
Will hopefully get it back fixed tomorrow.
I’m wundering if it was a job I could have tackled myself.

any feedback on this appreciated as always

That’s an upper inlet manifold off job. I’m not sure of your mechanical knowledge but it’s not a 2 minute job.

Upper inlet manifold off. Why are these things never simple.
Well that’s going to put the labour up.
Just hope it sorts it, got a big road trip coming up this week.
 
£212 to get the high pressure sensor replaced.
Hopefully no more engine light or spluttering
Will it be any faster?? ?

I would imagine most of that would be the labour sadly, let us know on the speed side...just don't hit 88mph, you know what happens then....

I tried it and nothing happened. Plus 10, still nothing, just a sort of blue pulsating glow someway back.

Yes, 2 and a half hours labour, then VAT too.
Have only been on short drive to work up to now.
What’s with the 88 and the blue glow?
What A2 oddities have I got to look forward to now? ?

Not sure about 88, but the pulsating blue glow is, probably, a person also dressed in blue. A good FSI will escape their wrath though.

Sorry, not with it today. I’m preparing my brain to mush itself for the next few weeks!

My 88mph was aimed at back to the future, that's when the delorean went back to the future....although the 98 is a better figure to escape the blue flash I suppose...
Maybe I was wide awake this morning, I'd been up since 05.30!!!!

Actually, no. Keep it under 3000rpm please unless it’s black beauty!

The FSI fun doesn't start 'till you hit 3000 rpm!
