According to the builder there's not much difference between the 90hp 1.4 and 1.9tdi, only 1, one(!) wire was required to add to the EDC15 ECU.
If it is this simple, I would not know, I just read the article and pass it on to you guys.

It seems that the PD engines regardless of being 3 cylinder or 4 cylinder of the same year approx use the same ECU with a different map.
I’ll document what I can and post when I get stuck or when complete!
The DSG gearbox is great, I had one in a 3.0Tdi A4, but for simplicity and robustness I’ll stick with a manual.

No. Sadly dad didn’t do it in the end. I don’t think he got very far. As he underestimated how much work it would be for someone his age. Real shame. Would have been great!
