Possible scam warning

A new account in a different name will appear at some point once they are caught out. The same person has had 3 different accounts with the same pics.

It's an easy pattern to spot. You publicly ask for a part, and they reply with "inbox me, mate", or "send me a DM", or words to similar effect. It doesn't matter whether you're asking for something really common, like a standard indicator stalk, or something that you know they're not going to have, like a left-hand-drive double-DIN dashboard in Twist. The answers aren't tailored to the nature of the request because they don't actually have anything for sale, nor do they know anything about A2s; they just take your money and vanish.

Cheers,

Tom

Afternoon all,

Shocking that these type of listings are popping up. Sure this is the third time the rear cup holder pictures from the Project 250 thread have been used for this scam.

I can assure everyone that it’s most definitely not for sale, it’s happily residing in Project EUD right now with no one s to remove it.

Kind regards,

Tom

I asked him for his location this morning, he said 'PM me@ so I then said that everyone would benefit if he told me where he was...alas, my comments have now been removed. I cringe when I see new members saying 'inbox sent', and just hope they don't part with hard earned cash. I do my part and try and message them to warn them, but I am not scam police, and can only do my part if I see the message early enough. Have sadly been too late for a couple of members who happily parted with £80 for the cup holders in the past....needless to say, they never turned up

He’s lurking in this group as well. I messaged Jeremy to see if he could remove him.

There are so many scams on Facebook. Its always the same with any event that posts something to say it is 'sold out' there are immediately posts by scammers saying they have tickets and can no longer go. They had them on the Vorsprung International page when they sold out their camping allocation. If you look at the profile's you can normally tell - very little information. Stolen pictures from another country (a family with lots of American trucks around them etc - which is the case with this 'James Bastian' person). Very often if you click into a picture it will have likes from a range of very international folk that suggest they may not be the Sayeed, Bob or Megan from Bradford that they are pretending to be!
