he told me to ignore the misfires as they are down to the way the car is running.
He said the only faults that matter are the top 2.

I agree with that but the misfire count should help diagnose if it's the injectors. It could be you need you need a Manifold Tuning Valve Position Sensor (G336) which gives set point not reached error code if not working properly. Depending on how bad it is you can clear it and it won't reappear for hundreds of miles if it's on it's way out. When it gets really bad it will re light up again a few miles after you have reset it. Also get him to check the N316 valve, it should hold a vacuum i believe.
