Power Steering Issue

Hello

Would like to know if anyone else has had this occurrence with their power steering .
My A2 1.4 petrol when driving has developed a "heavy" steering issue when the wheel is turned in either direction.
When a slow speeds or turning into a junction it is quite heavy turning left or right does not change one way or the other .
When I had my service done by 4Rings I let the chap drive the car to see if he could diagnose the issue of which he replied that the powered steering is working pump etc but there is an issue , but to obviously diagnose further would need further investigation and money of course.

Now I have read that as the A2 steering is a combination of electrical and mechanical intervention and that there is a steering sensor which maybe at fault but nothing came up on VagCom when I had the service done .

Has there been anybody else that has come across this

I have found a link which I will post here of what I read after an google search

Firstly I would check the earthing cable for the loom that supplies the electric power to the pas motor. There have been cases of this coming loose, or indeed of there being damage to the cable.

Would the power steering motor be on the verge of stopping if this continues to happen .
Is it a case of adding a new earth cable from the loom or would you have to trace all the way back .
