Not sure if this will work on the A2 but I recently read that a Polo GTI owner had the 'weight' of the power steering adjusted by his VW dealer. According to the article in the Saturday Telegraph two weeks ago, there are 5 programmable settings, presumably controlled by the ECU. Personally I find the steering feel spot on but I recall a Forum contributor complaing of the steering being too light.

hmmm interesting... not heard this before... If you climb from another car into the A2 it is very light, but you get used to it as with anything really... so I won't change mine even if I could. In the old days people even managed cars WITHOUT power-steering! Imagine that! (hehehe)

I also heard about it. Thought it was on this forum...
So I decided to ask my dealer about changing the setting on my (still undelivered) A2.
They said they had inquired with a source unknown to me, but the answer was: can't be done
But like I said, I don't know if their source was reliable. They could have taken the easy route by just telling me 'no'.
They can however adjust the settings for automatic central door locking (US style, I was told, closing when you reach >15km/h speeds)...
If anyone managed to squeeze real info out of his dealer, I'd really like to know. I think that I can get used to the light-ish powersteering of the A2, but still prefer to get adjusted to some more solid feeling.

the power steering of my A2 S-line is certain different than a normal one. It`s heavier to steer around, i don`t think they mount a complete different one in an S-line. I will ask around

I`ve asked around, only for the new A3 there is a possibility to change your power-steering setup, 5 different setup. For the other Audi models, sorry....no[29]!
