Powering DAB Adaptor of wiring loom

Hi,

You may have read my fitting an aftersales ICS post. I have fitted my Blankpaupt DAB head unit in my wife's car now and have read about a few more gadgets on the web that might make a good solution for adding Ipod and DAB to my Double din symphony head unit.

I have been looking at the Dension Gateway 300 which is kind of an ipod adaptor with bells on. It will use you CD changer mode to control the Ipod, but you can use an AUX IN connection as well. It will default back to the AUX IN connection when the ipod is disconnected.

Therefore I have been looking at the Revo in car DAB and the Acoustic Solutions ICS 100 DAB Adaptors. I could run an Ipod AUX IN through the ICS 100 but would not get the head unit control or the charging. Whichever I went for I would upgrade the DAB Ariel for a better one.

Now 1st of all is anyone using the "Dension Gateway 300" in a similar way to this?

And secondly do you know if I can power either of these DAB Adaptors from the wiring loom? Could I do this DIY or should I leave it to an expert?

Cheers

Chris
