Prevent mold from building up inside

It is always better to prevent mold rather than removing them from time to time. Just like what they say, “prevention is better than the cure."
One of the most common reasons why molds build-up is spilled drinks.
You should close your windows and sunroof before leaving. The rain can cause your interior to get wet >> mold forming.
Close your car a/c, radio, headlights, and windows before turning off the engine.
You can put a dehumidifier inside your car. A dehumidifier can remove bad interior odor, prevent molds from building up inside, and promote good air for easier breathing.
Do you have any other great tips to prevent and remove molds in ur car? Please comment if I posted something wrong ? Thanks, guys ??

Leave the AC on all the time (don't use ECON).
The AC dries the cabin air, and will keep the cabin trim and furniture dry too. That will keep the moisture content low, and, since condensation is moisture, it'll keep that to a minimum too.
Warm air is wet, cold air is dry.
Mac.

Interestingly enough, even if I don't have this issue, I just bought a 1kg silica bag to keep inside my car during winter months, considering lockdown prevents me from using my car on regular basis these days....just in case, as a preventative measure.

Where did you pick that up from out of interest? I picked up a few of the small ones whilst out in Spain last year...

Thanks

But don’t buy that one, terrible reviews.

Something like this can be left in the car

I’ve just ordered 2x of the same thing but made by a company called “Keplin” - our Touran, despite being a relatively new vehicle at 5 years old, suffers from windscreen icing inside at the moment.

my plan is to keep one of these in the car and alternate with one drying inside.
