Problem with keying text on threads

Hi

I have been experiencing a weird forum technical problem for several weeks now and it is starting to annoy me, so I thought it best to see if there is anything that can be done.

Keying a new thread like this one is not a problem, but when I reply to a thread (or even a PM) I get the problem every time.

I start keying and it ignores the space-bar.

So texts come out like the following

Thisisanexampleofwhathappens.

I normally get to a full sentence before I realise that it has done this.

I can then go back to the line and enter the blanks if I have started a new line.

This is NOT my keyboard at fault, or the web browser (Chrome) it ONLY does it on here and nowhere else.

It is such a weird issue that I was kinda assuming that I was not alone and someone else must also be experiencing this.

Could it be that not many are using the WYSIWYG editor / text entry??

It is becoming annoying now.

I can probably demonstrate it by replying to anyone that posts a reply on here?

It is likely to be a tricky one to resolve!!!

Yep, I've occasionally had this problem too. Go back a line and everything is fine, but if you're typing 'at the leading edge', the spaces are ignored. Mildly annoying, but easily worked around.

Cheers,

Tom

This is a known issue we have internally talked about it. It is an issue with chrome.

Details are on this page : http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/foru...ooting/4356452-space-bar-not-working-on-reply

If anyone is having this problem on chrome please let us know what version etc. If anyone is having this issue with another browser then let us know too.

If users experiencing this problem need a quick could you please use another browser such as Firefox, Internet Explorer & Edge. For Mac users, Safari has been verified OK by myself and other forum management team.

Please check back for an update on this problem.

Yeah, I have many systems and every main browser except chrome (not a fan), so when this was raised late 2016 I didn't believe the issue was real.
