I know I speak for a sizeable minority (at least) when I say these project threads, regardless of the author, are seriously enjoyable to read.
It is heartening to know that former borderline cars are being brought back from the brink and given a new lease of life - given the non-rusting bodyshell and that even today their fuel economy figures are highly respectable, for the keen DIY enthusiast I would say they remain relevant for a large number as low cost but enjoyable means of transport that is satisfying to own: The more that are still around as people wake up to this the better!
