Project bambi

As the weather gets warmer and I now have all the parts thanks to Al2coholic and others, plans are coming together to move on from my current Frankenstein look. (The look was gained after taking out a deer at 50 mph) car fared pretty well to be fair but needed a new front support structure to make it usable, and air box, and all associated plastic bits and pieces, then lots of rivets and plates behind the wing and bumper to keep it all in shape.

Also plan to revamp the suspension to move on from’pooping elk’ as I believe it’s referred to. Also changing the front discs as they have fared poorly in the salty winter roads.

I look forward to the headlights pointing the right way as much as anything, had to have them aimed down far too much since September.

Looking forward to putting pics on of the progress.......

These are pics of what didn’t get damaged, and how we currently look.

All done. Need a new number plate and a final polish. Might go for pressed aluminium ones, keep the aluminium theme going.

Can now focus on maintenance rather than rebuilding. Got some new front discs to fit. Then I want to even out the front and rear suspension, currently too high at the front or too low at the back. Can’t decide which.

Top pic when it was all off again. Bottom pic 4 hours later.
