Today I scanned Boris after driving 700 miles so far this week and I’m proud to say that there’s no codes showing up on the engine or anywhere on all control modules :D

he’s cost me around £2000 so far to get him where he is and it was definitely worth it as when I’m driving around in him I have a smile ear to ear?:)

Keep it up Louis. Dispel the FSI unreliability myth and show what a well sorted FSI can do.

Definitely bud :)

I’m looking for another FSI soon :)?

The only problem I’ve got is there’s not enough room on the drive now ?

Today I replaced the thermostat on Boris and now he’s sitting at 90 degrees as he should ?

The old one wasn’t working because of this shown below ?

I guess I’m classed as a kid

I only do it so no one scratches my doors:)

I have 2 kids Louis please don’t park there! There are normally not enough of these and you need the space to get babies in the car seats without someone parking too close for you to lean in and do this.

Just park further away, these space as well as disabled are there for a reason and this is not one of them.

Today I thought Boris was going to need a new gearbox ?

After covering 100 miles since changing the thermostat I went to put him in reverse and it wouldn’t go in

after taking the bonnet off I looked down near the gear tower and one of the clips fell off and fell in the way of the reverse gear

Anyway after making sure the clip was firmly back on and wasn’t going to move I put him in reverse and hey presto is worked a treat?

Nice smooth gear changes again?

I guess after taking the gear cables off to get to the thermostat I must have loosened the clip and made it fall off
