Paint it, purists in the future will be looking for any indication of works carried out, and to what level...imo

On the theme of "doing it properly" I will be re-instating the seam sealer (which caused me so much hassle in the removal and replacement) does anyone have advice on what seam sealer to use and guidance on application?

Ok, so a quick update. I've gone with HB Body Pro Autoseal Brushable Seamsealer, will get this next week and see how we go. Meanwhile just waiting on some parts coming in and we will be good to this weekend for sanding, primer, paint and then refitting.

I'm looking now for leads on where to get an exhaust as mine has a leak and also an exhaust manifold heat shield @CreweAudi are these parts still available at a reasonable cost new? (1.4i 2002)

Which part of the exhaust as a number of sections are available cheap for the 1.4 petrol. Also the manifold heat shield or available on eBay often I also have one

So I think that it is in 3 sections, Manifold and Cat 1, centre section and Cat 2? and rear box. It is the centre section I need. I'll keep an eye out for the heat shield but not averse to buying a new one to keep things moving, I may find a fix when I'm in there working however, it's just quite loose.
