Not being pedantic at all!

I had an S4 cab and thought they were satin aluminium but all I do know for sure, like I said, is they are not chrome ?

No I think they're stainless cuz I clattered one of my mirrors at high speed and if it was Aluminium it wouldn't have stayed in the same shape and it wasn't even marked but I could be wrong ?

I'm not going to argue with you about it as I'm not sure either tbh and I don't really care ?
I much prefer body coloured painted mirrors too ?

Well that's the job of fitting the Votex completed and I must say I'm really happy with how it's turned out. Fitting it wasn't half as bad a job as I thought it was going to be but glad I had an extra pair of hands to help me along the way when needed. Apart from a few minor carbon detailing bits that's pretty much the exterior completed. I think my next job will be to upgrade the stereo to Bose or does anyone know of any better options, I want to keep the original single din concert head unit to keep it looking stock just want to have better quality,

Hi, is there a detailed description of the audio system/systems fitted to the A2? I'm looking for speaker positions, rear amp position etc, rather than Bose v Non Bose. Like @ICowie, I'd like to improve things a bit. Did this in my (non Bose) TT, with new rear amp and drive units (JBL). Much better, so, the FSI is next!

Well the Bose option didn't take long to materialise, I opened my eyes this morning to a message from Steve offering me a complete Bose system at a very reasonable price so I bit the bullet and bought it just need to get hold of Tom to get it retro fitted ?

The A2 came with 3 speaker packages...
1) The 4-speaker system, which only has speakers in the front doors. They're driven directly by the head unit.
2) The 8-speaker system, which has speakers in all four doors. The front speakers are driven directly by the head unit, and the rear speakers are driven by a Blaupunkt amp that's located in the right-hand-side footwell compartment.
3) Bose, which is fully externally amplified, has 8 higher-grade speakers and a subwoofer in the boot.

Be aware that the A2's speaker mountings are an oddball size, in both diameter and depth, meaning that there are no aftermarket speakers that'll fit with ease. Custom-made brackets and such will be required to fit your choice of aftermarket speakers.

Had a go at adding the carbon detailing on the ends of the sideskirts today and I must say it actually came out better than I thought it would maybe even a touch too subtle ? but at least it'll stop the stonechips battering off the ends of the skirts
