Project peperami - (A2Steve)

A solution to the clutch issue is needed first though.

Apologies if this has already been checked out but could an A2 solid flywheel be reworked to take a larger dia clutch plate and cover.
I've never seen the solid and DMF flywheels side by side but assume they both have the same dia ring gear. If that's correct then there may be enough meat to increase the friction face dia and re-tap the clutch cover mounting bolts.

Cheers Spike

She's been in the workshop for the last few days having some panels re-done but while in there I took the opportunity to have the headlights tinted.

All done using paint mixed in with the lacquer so they are super smooth. Really pleased with them.

Oooh me like. Think this would work well on Baby Boomer - what sort of cost were they Steve?

Will this also prevent the uv light hazing the plastic ?
You you know the mix for the tint ?

Haven't a clue, but they look like new now. Not sure on the mix levels sorry Paul. He just told me he had mixed in a spot of paint with the lacquer.

I suspect that the 2k lacquer is all that is needed as the paint does not change colour with the uv. I know the lacquer states uv stable on the tin
I also have 55watt hids with projectors so light output is on he upper side of what is needed loosing a little with the tint would not e a problem with my lights

Yes projectors fitted in dip beam position. They operate as dip and main through solenoid for main beam
I currently have a std bulb in the main beam as well so main beam is well BRIGHT
Will do a write up when I get 5 mins

Hi steve. Lovely colour. Going back to clutch issue. A single mass corrado g60 flywheel and clutch might be another option? I know that's what the tuned tdi golfs used to upgrade to.

Hi Steve, Merry Christmas. It's the 3 cylinders that's the issue. The flywheel is balanced to counter the lack of a 4th cylinder.
