Project peperami - (A2Steve)

Superb! I thought that you were on holiday? Steve, just one item seems to be missing with your interior? I am surprised that there's no double-DIN dash and an RNS-E? How come?

I am David, no business this week but the draw to A2s is very strong :)

I'd rather listen to the engine that the stereo so happy with single DIN.

I’ve finally seen sense (and given in to @A2Sam ) and decided to raise Peppa up a little. The novelty of having my exhaust pop off its hanger every couple of days due to speed humps really has worn off. It looks like the 100mm drop at the back and 80mm drop at the front is just too much for a little A2 ?

So I’ve raised the back end up about 25mm so far and will be raising the front up tomorrow night. I’ve ordered a set of 4 aluminium 20mm spacers so that the wheels will fill out the newly raised wheel arches.

Should all be ready for a good test run around the Welsh mountains with the club next Sunday.

Looking forward to the photo's Steve.....
What brand spacers did you buy....

The H&R ones were just too darn expensive but at the same time I didn't want the cheapest eBay ones. Bought ones via ebay that are made by a British machine shop from billet aluminium so hopefully they will be light and at a very good price.

Yes that's the company. Just checked the name. Glad to hear they are good. They should be arriving tomorrow and then on tomorrow evening, just got to find my copper grease first :)

When I used my 15" lightweight A2 alloys

I used 20mm spacers front and 30mm on the rear ...
It looked great lowered 65mm on my coilovers .... you'll love em'.....?

I'm using a set from "Watfields Engineering" via eBay...... very happy with them ...?
I bought some from the same seller on eBay for my BM, I never used them as the overall diameter was a lot smaller than the hub, in fact the stud holes were only about 5mm off the perimeter and that didn’t seem to be enough meat to me.

I've spent a lot of time on the visible parts of Peppa, but neglected the appearance of the hidden parts. So yesterday and today I pressured washed all the oily bits. I then removed the cast iron wishbones off my current breaker and subframe to transplant onto Peppa.

While they were off I cleaned them down with a wire cleaning head and then gave them plenty of coats of hammerite for future protection. I also added a bit of colour in the process to match the blue intercooler pipes, coilovers, air intake and brake lines.
