I have noticed in some areas of the UK that 'brought' is used as though it's synonymous with 'bought', when the rest of the country seems to know the two words mean totally different things.

'Brought' is the past tense of 'bring'. 'Bought' is the past tense of 'buy'.
"I bought a car and then I brought it home."

Right, I doubt any of us will make friends by discussing spelling and grammar on a car forum, so I'm going to shut up before I start ranting about 'could of', 'would of', 'should of' and 'must of'. :p

Further evidence of how well you get on with my lads Tom, they go much further and I am currently learning all kinds of things about Chinese grammar etc.

And to be honest, it's not really a "regional" thing. My pet hate is more in pronunciation of certain words - (least) favourite of which is a Hearst ... what on earth is a Hearst ... There is no T on the end of the word HEARSE!
 
How much are you paying to pick that up from Cornwall...……...I was going to look at it but the guy only got back to me the other day some problem with his phone/internet connection and Ive been away in Somerset so didn't bother.....
Surely you wont make a penny on this by the time you've had it collected done all the work including the paintwork it needs...…??

Hi bud it Cost £200 for car and £300 for delivery I was getting it for £250 delivery until the delivery guy broke down and had to use someone else

After ordering service parts and getting MOT stuff and getting it through a MOT it should owe me £650 :) ;)

As I say I’m thinking of keeping her
 
Roof needs painting and some other bits from what I saw in the pics and the description in the ad...…. all adds up costs wise...…....
Good luck with it you'll need a bigger drive soon.........LOL
 
Ruby has just left Cornwall and is on her way now to Leicester :) ;)

Can’t wait to get her but falling Asleep already and got to be up at 2am for delivery??
 
Here she is folks :)

She has got some lacquer peal but it’s not too bad I’ve seen worse:)

Today she is getting a Full major service and new Anti-roll-bar links if they arrive

MOT IS Booked for Friday:)

She’s running sweet just like any normal 1.4 petrol :)

Any ideas why the engine light is on ?

I’ve cleared the codes and let’s see what comes back
 
Update everyone ?

Been super busy today !!!!

I Gave Ruby a full Major service

Air filter

Fuel filter

Oil filter

Pollen filter

4 Brand new Bosch spark plugs

5W/30 Castrol oil

I then changed Both of the front Anti roll bar links

Finally I booked her in for a MOT Tomorrow and got the tyre changed as the driver side front was showing wire !!!!!

I’ve checked everything a MOT tester would and she should pass !!!

The only advisories I can see coming up is front brake pads worn and maybe a slight buckle on front wheel

She’s coming along nicely folks:)

Ooooo I also forgot to say I Got my new A2OC jumper and it’s super warm :)?

I plan to machine polish her this weekend and get quotes on getting the roof wrapped in Matt black as then she can look like a storm:)
 
Don’t you go to school? Were you not 15 last I checked...?

If you have this much free time mine could do with a major service and a polish

I would even pay for the polish and scratch removal job. Mine got some things to do too..
