I want to purchase a diesel a2 questions

is the 90ps a lot better than the 75ps

best spec to go for

do some have softer dampers as i believe the ride is quite hard

best place to buy

Hi Chester, welcome to the A2oc
The 90ps is noticibly quicker than the 75ps but having said that, performance of the 75ps is more than adequate.
Best spec is very personal and also compromised when buying second hand. For me, climate control would be a must as the car can be quite noisy with the windows open - this can be minimised by playing with the front and rear window openings but check it out for yourself on the test drive. The driver info system is also nice to have.
Sport models have lowered, stiffer suspension and 17" alloys which makes the ride very hard. Some people love it and others hate it - again personal choice.
The 17" alloys are easily buckled and very expensive to replace. The 16" wheels on SE models don't seem to give a problem.
Audi dealers have most choice and stocks can be checked on the Audi web site. You pay more but will get a reasonable warranty.
