R.I.P our boy Max

It's with the greatest sadness that myself and Angie lost our boy Max to the awful tumour he had today. We are completely broken and lost without him. If you had the chance to meet him you'd understand how special and loved he was.

So so sorry for your loss
It’s the only reason I held off getting another dog for 4 years, but eventually caved in and got Archie
All I can add is that the pain gets less over time
Chin up and remember the good times

all the best

I’m immensely sorry to read this Mark and @AngieA2. My deepest condolences to you both at this sad time.

I hope and pray that the raw emotion of this tragedy is replaced with lasting memories of love in due course. Virtual hugs to you both.

Aw mate, my heart goes out to you. I never met your dog but he looks a cracker and I know he had a life full of love and fun with you. I had a staffy myself and they are the most loyal dogs (IMHO)

Very pleased to have met Max at AITP, he really was a lovely character. Sorry that this sadly anticipated day has arrived, thinking of you both.

I’m so sorry to read this, Mark. Many condolences to yourself and Angie. When I saw Max last weekend, it didn’t look like his innings was yet drawing to a close. It’s so sad that his condition caught up with him so quickly.

I’ve been a dog-lover my whole life, so understand the heartbreak that accompanies the loss of a beloved canine companion. Max was such a calm, obliging little character. Such a trusting dog. That’s testament to the good home you made for him. He deserved longer on Planet Earth, but you made his days here happy.

As I said in your previous post about Max, grief is the price we pay for love. Somehow, I find those words helpful.

Warm wishes to you both, and RIP Max.

Tom

Sorry to hear of your loss, dogs are definitely a real part of family. Didn't get to meet Max at AITP but likely our 3 crazy cavaliers would have liked to have done so! Take care

Horrible news. Knowing something is going to happen doesn’t make it any easier to deal with when it does. Thoughts with you at what I’m sure is true worst or times.

If there was a 'do not like and offering you both a hug' button I would click it. Really sorry to hear your news. Right now it will obviously feel very raw ; in the longer term I hope you are able to return to memories of much happier times with Max, remembering those good vibes and happiness of your time together. Wishing you both all the very best, Robin

I did meet Max the other weekend and he was lovely, rolling over for me to tickle his tummy.
Very sad to read this, any animal lover understands how you must feel, really sorry. xx

I'm never good at these things, but here goes. Really sorry to hear about your loss. That last picture tells more than a thousand words ever could. Our hearts and thoughts are with you guys right now.

Ahhh, so very sorry to read this Mark. I feel really honoured to have met Max. He was such a lovely dog and my thoughts are with you and Angie. Huge hugs to you both x

Thank you all so very much for your kind and thoughtful messages, it truly means a lot to both of us. Our hearts will take time to mend but we have only great memories and lots of pictures and videos of him so what more could we ask. Max will be cremated next week and we will have his ashes in an earn so he will always be with us.

Kindest regards, Mark & Angie
