I have put some RainX on there in the past, but to be honest if I had enough money, I'd use Ombrello on the whole glass roof as it lasts much longer and is much more effective. See: http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/omb.htm

It's the same principle as RainX only it lasts much longer (up to 10,000 miles per application) and in my opinion is better.

Full details of the product are on these pages: http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/omb.htm and http://www.weathertec.co.uk
There's also a great review of the stuff in the latest newsletter: http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/newsletter2.htm
I can send this to you if you want me to.

I use it on both cars, it always seems as though I need a bit more than they supply . It works well enough, better than rainX.
